This article covers moving a site and its WP Security Ninja license from one Freemius account to another. Typical cases: selling a site, changing ownership, or consolidating accounts.

**Prerequisites**

* Access to the source account (current owner) and the destination account (new owner).
* WP Security Ninja installed and activated on the site you want to transfer.

## Method 1: Transfer ownership from the Account page

1. **Open the Account page** on the site (for example `example.com`): **WP Security Ninja → Account**.

2. **Start the ownership switch**

    * Find the email address row.
    * Click **Edit** next to the email.
    * Enter the new owner’s email (the address on their WP Security Ninja / Freemius account).
    * Follow the on-screen steps to start the transfer.
3. **Confirm by email**
    * Both the current owner and the new owner get confirmation emails.
    * Both must confirm for the transfer to complete.
4. **Time limits**
    * Current owner: confirm within **four hours**.
    * After that, new owner: accept within **24 hours**.
5. **Done**
    * After both confirm, the site leaves your account and links to the new owner’s account.
6. Repeat for any other sites you need to move.

## Method 2: Disconnect and reactivate

Use this when the new owner will activate with their own license.

1. Open **WP Security Ninja → Account** on the site.
2. If a license is active and you need to free it, click **Deactivate License**.

3. Click **Disconnect**.

That removes the site from your account.
4. WordPress shows the activation screen that asks for a license key.
5. Let the new owner activate with their key. The installation then links to their account.
6. Repeat for other sites as needed.
