The installation wizard guides you through a few simple steps to get you up and running with Security Ninja in just a few minutes. The wizard opens automatically when you install the plugin, so you do not miss the initial setup.

**Free and Pro:** The wizard is available on every install. Free users get the essential steps (firewall, events, and vulnerabilities). Pro unlocks additional steps for login protection, selected default fixes, and WooCommerce when that plugin is active. Security tests start running in the background as soon as the wizard begins.

## Wizard steps

### Welcome

The welcome screen explains what the wizard covers and lets you start or skip to the dashboard. From here you can walk through each protection step, or leave and come back later.

### Firewall

Activate Firewall Protection turns on global rules, Cloud Firewall (Pro), the global ban network, and 404 Guard defaults. You also get an unblock URL in case you ever lock yourself out. Save that URL, or use the copy emailed to your admin address.

### Events Logger

Activate Events Logger enables an audit trail with standard modules: logins, user and role changes, plugin and theme updates, settings changes, content edits, and WooCommerce activity when the store plugin is active. You can turn individual modules on or off later under Events Logger settings.

### Vulnerabilities

Activate Vulnerability Scanner checks installed plugins and themes against known security issues and notifies you in the admin when something needs attention.

### Login Protection (Pro)

Login Protection blocks repeated failed login attempts from the same IP and works with Events Logger to record suspicious login activity. Configure 2FA or a custom login URL later when you are ready.

### Default fixes (Pro)

Activate Default Security Measures applies recommended hardening in one click: hide version info, disable username enumeration, XML-RPC, and application passwords, remove unneeded files, set security headers, and enable secure cookie flags. ### WooCommerce (Pro, when active)

If WooCommerce is active, the wizard offers store protection defaults: checkout, add-to-cart, and order rate limits, plus coupon protection. Tune the limits later under Cloud Firewall → WooCommerce Protection.

### Done

The final screen confirms your security baseline and points you to next steps: run security tests, review vulnerability results, run the core file scanner, browse Events Logger, and explore Login Protection options.

## Reopen the wizard later

If you need to run the wizard again, open **Security Ninja → Wizard** in wp-admin. Rerunning can overwrite settings for modules you activate again. Use Skip or Continue on steps you do not want to change.
