title: Security Tests

Security Tests are included in both free and Pro. They check WordPress settings and server details that often leave a site easier to attack.

Typical checks cover version disclosure, weak defaults, outdated software, and other common misconfigurations. They are a practical audit, not a full penetration test.

1. Open **Security Ninja**.
2. Click **Run tests**.
3. Open a failing result for an explanation and recommended next steps.

On Pro, some failures also offer **Apply Fix** in the test details, and related toggles live under **Security Ninja → Fixes**. See [Fixes](https://wpsecurityninja.com/docs/security-tests/fixes/) and the [Security Fixes](https://wpsecurityninja.com/docs/security-fixes/) docs.
