Whitelisting services

Allow known third-party service IPs through Security Ninja Cloud Firewall. Built-in lists and optional one-click toggles on IP Management.

Cloud Firewall (Pro) can whitelist IPs used by common WordPress services so remote maintenance, monitoring, and optimization tools are less likely to be blocked. Some lists are always on. Others are optional toggles on Security Ninja → Firewall → IP Management.

You can still add your own IPs and CIDR ranges manually.

Always whitelisted (no checkbox)

These service IPs are included automatically when Cloud Firewall runs. You do not turn them on separately:

  • Broken Link Checker
  • GetTerms (cookie consent scanner, getterms.io)
  • WP Compress (image optimization)
  • MonSpark (uptime monitoring)
  • Modular DS (remote site management)
  • WPMU DEV
  • Divi Dash (Elegant Themes site management)
  • Fastpixel

Optional one-click whitelists

On Firewall → IP Management, enable or disable these per service:

  • ManageWP (enabled by default on new installs)
  • WP Rocket
  • UptimeRobot
  • Uptimia

Crawler validation

Search engines and many known bots are handled separately through automatic crawler validation (reverse-DNS for classic crawlers, published IP ranges for AI crawlers). That is not the same as the service IP lists above.

How to enable optional services

  1. Go to Security Ninja → Firewall → IP Management.
  2. Find the service toggles (ManageWP, WP Rocket, UptimeRobot, Uptimia).
  3. Enable what you use and save.
