Bulk actions in MainWP

Run Security Ninja scans, copy settings, manage IPs, and refresh vulnerability lists across selected MainWP child sites, then sync.

The Security Ninja for MainWP extension adds bulk actions on the MainWP Sites table so you can work across many child sites without opening each wp-admin.

Where to find them

  1. Open Sites → Manage Sites in your MainWP Dashboard.
  2. Select one or more child sites.
  3. Choose a Security Ninja bulk action, then confirm.

Selected MainWP child sites with Security Ninja actions in the Bulk Actions menu

After a bulk action finishes, run MainWP Sync on the same selection so scores, vulnerability counts, settings, and IP lists refresh. The extension does not auto-sync every selected site for you.

Run all security scans

Triggers a full security run on each selected child site, regardless of that site’s Scheduler setting.

  • Free extension: Security Tests and Core Scanner
  • Pro extension with Security Ninja Pro on the child: also includes Malware Scanner

Wait for the runs to finish, then sync to see updated scores and scan data.

Update vulnerabilities

Refreshes each child’s known-vulnerability list. Requires Security Ninja 5.297+ on the child sites. Each site also updates on its own daily or weekly schedule; this action schedules a one-off refresh even when that recurring job already exists. Sync afterward to see updated counts in MainWP.

More: Vulnerability Scanner.

Copy settings (Pro)

Copies allowlisted Security Ninja settings from one synced Pro child onto the selected targets. Lockout-prone options stay off unless you enable them. Requires Security Ninja Pro on the source and targets, and 5.285+ on children (5.297+ for array settings such as blocked countries).

Full steps: Copy settings from MainWP.

Manage IPs (Pro)

Use one IP or CIDR across each selected Pro child (Security Ninja 5.285+). Available changes:

  • Add to whitelist
  • Add to blacklist
  • Remove from whitelist
  • Remove from blacklist
  • Lift a local ban
  • Lift a 404 Guard ban

Full steps: Manage IPs from MainWP.

White Label (Pro)

Bulk white label control for Pro child sites. See Control white label settings from MainWP.
