Step 1: Install Security Ninja Premium on MainWP Dashboard
- Download and Install Security Ninja Premium
- Ensure you have the latest version of the Security Ninja Premium plugin. You can download it from your account page on WP Security Ninja.
- Log in to your MainWP Dashboard server.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New and click on Upload Plugin.
- Choose the downloaded Security Ninja Premium plugin file and click Install Now.
- Once installed, activate the plugin. You do not need to configure any features at this stage. The Security Ninja plugin is a requirement for the MainWP Addon to work.
Step 2: Install Security Ninja for MainWP Addon
- Download Security Ninja for MainWP Addon
- Make sure to use the premium version of the addon for full functionality. The free version available on WordPress.org does not include the necessary premium code.
- You can find the latest premium version in your account or as provided in the welcome email after purchase.
- Install the MainWP Addon
- In your MainWP Dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New and upload the Security Ninja for MainWP addon file.
- Install and activate the plugin.
Step 3: Synchronize Sites Data in MainWP
- Synchronize Data
- In your MainWP Dashboard, navigate to Sites > Manage Sites.
- Click on Sync to synchronize data across all your connected websites. This will enable Security Ninja to show relevant data in your MainWP Dashboard.
Features and Functionality
- Dashboard Integration: You will see a new column in the MainWP Sites tab displaying Security Ninja details for each site.
- Remote Tests and Bulk Actions: Start remote security tests and update vulnerabilities for multiple sites directly from MainWP. Refer to Bulk Actions in MainWP for more details.
- Global Event Log: Access a central log of all events tracked by Security Ninja across your sites. Events are synchronized automatically during MainWP data sync.
Troubleshooting
- Missing Columns or Data: Ensure you’ve synchronized your sites after installing the plugins.
- Activation Issues: Double-check that you are using the premium version of both Security Ninja and the MainWP addon.
- Logging Issues: Review the event logs under the Events tab in Security Ninja for any potential issues or conflicts.
