How to Block or Redirect Visitors Using WP Security Ninja’s Firewall
WP Security Ninja’s Firewall empowers you with the flexibility to either block or redirect visitors based on various criteria such as IP addresses, suspicious page requests, or countries. This comprehensive guide will walk you through the process of setting up these options to fortify your website’s security.
Options for Handling Blocked Visitors
Upon enabling the firewall, you are presented with two main options for managing blocked visitors:
- Show a Message
- Redirect to Another URL
Displaying a Message to Blocked Visitors
By default, the firewall is configured to display a message to any visitor who gets blocked. This could occur due to their IP being listed in the Cloud Firewall, suspicious page requests, or originating from a country you have chosen to block.
Redirecting Blocked Visitors
Alternatively, you have the option to redirect blocked visitors to another URL of your choice. Simply enter the desired URL where you’d like to redirect them and save the changes.
Switching Between Options
If you wish to revert back to displaying a message instead of redirecting, simply remove the URL from the settings and save the changes.
