Use this when you need every user to set up 2FA again, for example after a staffing change or a lost authenticator device you cannot recover another way.
Tell users before you reset. They will need to complete setup on the next login if 2FA stays enabled.
Steps
- Go to Security Ninja → Tools.
- Find Reset all users 2FA.
- Click Reset all users 2FA.
This clears 2FA configuration for all users, including people who already finished setup.
After the reset
- If Enable 2FA remains on, users with a required role are prompted to set up 2FA again on the next login (subject to any grace period).
- Previous authenticator secrets and email-code preferences are cleared.
For a single user, an administrator can also manage 2FA on that user’s profile (including Bypass 2FA).
